See You Then Bar tensile cantilever canopy

Over the last 4 years and as part of a £45m project to build a new grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse, Fabric Architecture have worked with Roberts Limbrick to design a fully-integrated tensile fabric canopy outside the new “See You Then” Bar. Appointed by Kier Construction, Fabric Architecture designed, engineered and installed the cantilever canopy in September 2014 as part of Kier’s first phase of work and in time for the 2014/2015 race season. The project is part of an overall master scheme for the racecourse, which as a whole, is one of Kier’s largest ever projects in the South West region. The ‘See You Then’ Bar will hold prime position overlooking the parade ring and will be an ongoing high-quality catering destination for special events at Cheltenham Racecourse.
