SHELTER AND SHADE SOLUTIONS - READY TO INSTALL AND DESIGNED TO LAST

Signature Structures is Fabric Architecture’s collection of cost-effective tensile fabric canopies and shade solutions. Manufactured using waterproof and UV-resistant fabric, they’re a convenient way to provide shelter and shade in school playgrounds, at entrances to hospitals, shopping centres and sports venues, and within parks and communal areas.

Our tensile fabric canopies have a life expectancy of 10 to 30+ years and an almost infinite list of practical uses! It’s quick and easy to specify a solution from more than 40 pre-engineered and ready-to-install Signature Structures, all customisable to your requirements. See the full range in our brochure.

Are your shade or shelter requirements a bit more complex? Ask our expert team to design and build a Bespoke Structure to meet your brief.

Enjoy outdoor space all year round

A tensile fabric structure introduces dynamic curves and shapes to an area while performing a practical function: providing shade or shelter and increasing the usability of outdoor space.

Signature Structures include standalone canopies, covered walkways, entrance shelters, covers for outdoor performance areas, and sails and kites that provide both function and design appeal.

Customise and modify your shelter and shade

Play shades, walkway covers, outdoor dining canopies, entrance shelters, queue canopies – whatever you need can be customised with a vast choice of environmentally friendly fabrics in different colours and finishes, including a choice of finishes for the supporting metal framework.

Modifications and accessories include specific leg heights and padded leg-wrap kits, fixings for lighting, AV heating and electrical systems, and ‘Go Green’ options with wind turbines and photovoltaics.

fROM CHOOSING TO USING IN JUST 12 WEEKS

Our Signature Structures typically take 12 weeks from selection to installation. Here’s what’s involved:

Week 1
Once you’ve placed an order, our Project Manager will be in touch to discuss any customisation or modifications, foundation requirements and installation date.
Weeks 2-3
Selection of fabric choices, colours and finishes takes place and we provide a drawing for foundations. We can arrange foundations for you or you can use your own contractor. Please note that foundations will require 3 weeks to set!
Week 4
Set out, excavation and pouring of concrete foundations happens. If this is carried out by your chosen contractor, we’ll be in touch with you after to check all is complete.
Weeks 5-8
During this period, we’ll contact you to confirm site details, dates, access and deliveries, and run through any special details to plan for a smooth installation.
Weeks 9-10
Installation takes place by a Signature Structures Installation Engineer. We usually need between 1 and 4 days, depending on the structure size.
Week 11
We come back to site to make good the surface and groundworks. Or this is carried out by your own contractor, if they prepared the foundations.
